How would i turn my cross stitch into a rectangle pillow? Thank you!?

  1. I am assuming the design is a rectangle shape to begin with? If so, it's pretty easy. Choose a backing fabric. Place the right sides of your stitching and the backing fabric together (so the "wrong" sides face out). Sew along the edge of your stitched design on 3 sides. On the 4th side, sew in towards the center from each side but leave an opening of several inches. Now you've created sort of a pillow case. Turn it inside out so now the right sides are showing. Push out the corners with a pencil or something else that will give you nice square corners. Stuff the inside with poly fiberfill and sew the opening shut with a ladder stitch (small stitches on the inside of the seam so that they don't show). If you want to hide any imperfect seams, you can sew on some cording.
