  1. The thing she will learn in preschool is socialization.  If she regularly plays with children her own age, she doesn't need preschool.  Go places with her - museums, stores, parks, etc., and encourage her to discuss what she notices. Help her to notice similarities and differences between things. Talk to her about a wide range of topics.  Reading well correlates with large vocabularies - the more words she is familiar with, the more words she will eventually be able to read.  Sing, cook, get lots of library books every week, and you and she will be fine.  Watch some educational TV together and talk about it.  Get her art supplies and have her just play with the materials - not only crayons and markers, but paints, clay, and scissors.  Use paper, fabrics, plastic, cardboard, etc. as materials.

And you can go to the library for yourself and check out some preschool textbooks and child development books.  It sounds like you are off to a good start already.  The more you learn about child development, the more of a resource you'll be for her.
