The issue with selling organs isn't mainly about who gets them, or that only the rich or people can afford to get them, its only a slight issue.

The main reason is that murders would increase, as now people can sell the other person's organs at a hefty profit.

I doubt murders would increase, if we could only sell our own organs. Basically wouldn't more people get organs? Sure they would be those nasty worthless rich people...but then the DONATED organs could go to the deserving poor...... I'd sell an organ if I could. I mean, a lot of people wouldn't consider donating ever....but if you asked if they would be willing to sell organs upon thier death, to the benifit of thier family..WELL that's like a life insurance policy that they didn't have to pay for, and who cares if some gross worthless rich person bought the organ.....some poor person's getting the money.

When organ donation, becomes a commodity for sale,, the integrity  of humanity is sacrificed for profit.. Everyone should have the opportunity equally to receive  an organ replacement, on a free and equal  basis.. I  remember a while back,,and aged baseball player received TWO liver transplants, at different times,,strictly because he could afford to buy  them.. He  went ahead of people who were on a waiting  list for a transplant ,,because he could afford to buy them.. As fate would have it,,he still died..When you create an organ  business  MARKET,, inequality  will become the rule!!  Life should never be an issue tied to money!!  When we go to that level of conduct,, we lose our dignity and humanity..                                                       SOLOMON
