How would someone go about finding cheap undeveloped land?

Look for large land owner's (Timber company's, paper company's, pension funds, timber managers etc...) These company's typically have a small tract sales plan and they do not use realtors or MLS. This is where your developers are typically going. Keep in mind, these properties are typically in rural areas.
