  1. Just go to your local recruiting center or the online one and enlist! you have to be in the marines for 4 years before your done!, un less you want to continue on!

  2. You go to you local recruiting center and talk to a Marine recruiter or go to www.marines.com & fill out the form and a local recruiter will get in touch with you.

You need to have a high school diploma or a GED + 15 college credits (100 level or higher).

You need to pass the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery), a physical, and a background check at MEPS (Military Entrace Process Station).

You sign an 8 year contract which will be a 4x4 or a 6x2... 4x4 means 4 years of active duty & 4 years of Indiviudal Readiness Reserves (IRR)... a 6x2 is 6 years of active or reserves duty & 2 years of IRR.

  3. You need a HS diploma or GED and you have to pass a test and a medical exam and criminal record check.

    Contracts are 8 years TOTAL..

4 active duty...4 in active years

6 active years..2 in active years

6 reserve years..2 in active years..

    Most contracts are the 4 and 4 type..Certain MOS's require the 6 and 2 type..Go see a recruiter..
