Depends on the circumstances. its not a lot, is it. My mortgage alone is more than that, so I dont know.

Sleep on friend's couches, squat, or maybe afford a room in  a shared house or flat.  Qualify for some kind of subsidized housing where rent is based on income.  Ride a bicycle.  Supplement groceries with dumpster diving behind supermarkets after they chuck out the expired vegetables and baked goods.  Furnish your room with stuff from Freecycle.
