How would somone take a train from Baltimore (BWI) to Fredericksburg?

There are few Amtrak trains which operate from BWI Airport Train Station to Fredericksburg like the trains which travel to Newport News, VA.  If you arrive after the last train leaves at 5:59 PM, you are out of luck.  If you arrive before the first train leaves at 1:27 PM, you may wait a while at the BWI Train Station.  However, if you're in a hurry - you may want to consider taking two commuter trains for $15.

Step 1 - Take the free Amtrak Shuttle from the terminal to the BWI Airport Train Station.

Step 2- Purchase a MARC Train ticket from BWI Airport to Washington's Union Station - http://www.mtamaryland.com.  One-way ticket costs $6 and trains run pretty much every hour until the last one leaves BWI Train Station 9:46 PM.

Stpe 3 - Purchase a VRE Train ticket from DC's Union Station to Fredericksburg.  The last train leaves DC at 7 PM.  One way ticket costs $8.80 - http://www.vre.org

There you can catch these train numbers with no transfers at Washington, D.C.
