How would the islams react to an ambassador from charlemegne?

stupid question... i kno its for a project and i cant find the answer on any websites or anything

  1. You would not find the answer anywhere - you would have to deduce the answer based on the history of Charlemagne.

    Charlemagne (Charles the Great) was born on April 2, 742 in Northern Europe. "By the sword and the cross," he became master of Western Europe. He worked to spread education and Christianity - he is considered the first Holy Roman emperor.  He fought the Muslim Saracens as did his father and grandfather.  

    I imagine that if Charlemagne's emissary survived a journey to an audience with Islamic rulers, he would have either been imprisoned and then tortured to death, or have been given an opportunity to be enlightened and allowed to return to Charlemagne's court.  I doubt that diplomatic relations would have been ongoing.
