  1. Then the question whether the world is an illusion will no longer arise, and then,THEN,the ancient Indian sages who insisted that both the dream and he waking states are equally unreal will be vindicated. And, who knows, they may very well at last give us an aswer to that other question,'what is the meaning of life'?

  2. HELLO?  The world IS different because people DO follow dreams!!!!  People live in their own little fantasy worlds, oblivious to most of what is around them - get out of my way, yes this phone conversation IS that important, sorry kids, Mommy and Daddy have to WORK, I do not CARE if you hate "Rap" music and you cannot hear yourself talk, I don't CARE if I am only 15 - I WANT a baby, I don't CARE if you are married, I WANT WHAT I WANT AND I AM JUST GOING TO GET IT!!

DREAMS are a personal thing - they are totally based on your preferences, your taste, your experiences.  That pretty much makes "dreaming" a self creation, self goal, motivated by self, and would ultimately be FOR self.  Self motivated people do not concern themselves with the world......

If people were MORE selfish than they are now, I'm afraid I would have to resign myself from this world.

You might want to consider changing your medication or maybe stop medicating yourself completely - I only had these kinds of fantasies back in the 70s when I did not know what the brownies were laced with but ate them anyway....

  3. The world is in the following of some dream in reality, the dream the physical incarnation which we see all around us, the proof of which is the dreams we individually, as well as collectively, have, the novelty of our thoughts, and enterprises of our mind beyond the bounds of what we understand and define. The proof of the fact that this world in fact is the realisation of some dream in our hearts and minds, in our desires, aspirations and wishes.

We seek to reach out to stars and travel beyond into the far fetched corners of the universe, we desire to peep into the heart of the matter and pluck out the mystery of atom, we yearn to know as where do we come from and where we are heading, and what is life with that what the true reality of dying. All this and our tantalising inability to understand as who really we are, manifests in the mind that there is a whole lot more to the mind than we can comprehend with our reason. If you look closely then you will realise that the life, the universe and the world in fact suspended in a dreamlike state with greatest voids of unknown on all side of our understanding, the reality.

If is no one is free from the dream that life is then what our dreams are if not the part of the ultimate dream that this life is. The world would be the same, as everyone, I believe, is already but following their dreams – each life is already the following of its dream. However, it would be more enjoyable living if all people would realise this. If everyone would knew that their life has ultimately come to be what they dreamt it be in the beginning. I believe there would be more peace and happiness if people leant to accept their life as the best of the dreams they had so far, and just that.

  4. There is a saying: If wishes were horses beggars would ride.

  5. society would be chaos because not everyones dreams are dreams, some are nightmares.

  6. on my opinion no.,If everyone could follow their own dreams, there woul be a big mess.

  7. Is that not what is happening just now?

  8. well assuming their dreams don't involve hurting others,  or trying to live on others efforts than, possibly

  9. it depends on the dreams if they are good  and useful for people and community so why not it will be fine but if dreams are bad soooooooo!!!!

  10. Disasterous. Everyone is following their dreams, and look what's happening.

Not everyone has positive dreams. Hitler, Stalin, suicide bombers, for example.

  11. Depends on everyone's dreams, I suppose... I think it would make for an even more selfish world than it already is.

One thing is for sure- some dreams DO come true. But probably not if you sit around and just wait for them to come true...

  12. Think of it as if everyone began following their own driving rules, which isn't too hard because in my city that seems to be the rule. U-Turns in heavy traffic as if they thought they had right-of-way, backing onto the freeway, etc. etc.

    In one word .....CHAOS...

  13. it depends on how everyone understands what following one's dreams means. if they continue to work and usual stuff, and pursue their dream at the same time, and if they don't disturb other people or ruin the world... then ok. it would mean the world would be full of happier people.
