How would this work with my ipod?

Question

so i need this because im driving all the way to s.c and i have an ipod nano and i was wondering how this charger would work

like how does the top peice work or do you plug in the cord to that or any ideas?

what bigmac said, but a tip to help you out. always connect the power cord to your device before you connect the cable to the wall power or car power. and disconnect the cable from the wall power or car power first before disconecting it from your device. trust me on that.

you know how cars have that cigarette lighter, well you plug in the cylindrical piece into there(the car cigarette lighter opening) and the other half to your ipod. PRESTO!
