Is this a good brand. What kind of sub do i need for it. What kind of box do i need to get for them. IF you guys could find that suff for me that would be great. Just everything that i would need to get started. The stereo i have in my car is just a cheap $130 kenwood one, here is the one i have. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?...

so if you guys could tell me everything that i need to get those 2 subs hooked up and running that would be sweet.

And please dont recomend these because i would be trading this guy for them. So its these or nothing.

  1. Well, here's the deal.  Have you ever had a system like this before?  I ask because some of the information and questions were phrased a little odd?  It's impossible for anyone to advise how any subs would sound in any car because we are missing some key components....What type of car do you have?  What type of box are you using?  How much power are you planning on running to them?  Please understand, I'm not talking down to you but simply stating that all of these varibles are HUGE in determining "How these subs will sounds?"  It's kind of like saying, "Hey, how far do you think I can throw this football?"  I don't know, I've never seen you throw anything before?  Maybe you throw like a girl, maybe you throw like Peyton Manning?

Back to the issue at hand...if the following statements are true

    1) We assume the subs are in good working condition

    2) You plan on powering them appropriately...500 Watts RMS for the pair should be fine, which means your looking for a 500x1 mono amp.

    3) You plan on installing them in a good box, probably best to buy a pre-fab from your local audio shop....1-1.25 cubic foot per sub should suffice

4)Lastly, you might want to consider installation by a local shop in an effort to avoid any unseen issues with electrical issues or connectivitiy within your car, once again we don't know your car?

IF.......all of these things happen and go as planned, it's fairly safe to say that yes, these speakers will sound good in your car.  Hope this helps, don't mean to be tough on you, this hobbie is fun, frustrating and expensive all at the same time.  Hang in there and hang out around the local audio shop to pick up any helpful hints you can.  That's pretty much how all of us came to know anything over the years!

    Always remember to have fun.

  2. you did not say what type of car you have. the best box out there in todays world is a bandpass, but it really depends on your car, make sure when you do get the box for the speakers you turn them to the truck and not to the seats this will allow the bass to travel better in your car... Your stereo is ok, and have it all properly installed.. Good Luck
