  1. Anything that comes out of my ex's mouth.  The three criterias, downright ugly, ,totally false,or just plain manipulative.

  2. A threat to commit bodily harm

  3. Who ever came up with the putting those words together and making a crime out of it should be shipped off to China or some other Communist state.

This is the USA! Our God-given rights should be protected by and from government, not taken away by government. True rights do not need approval, permits or permission from government.

The problem with making words (hate speech) a crime is, who will decide which words and in what context? That is very subjectable and open to a  broad interpretation.

When there is a concensus in this country to make some thoughts and words punishable by law, that is the day this country will be officialy dead.

    Amendment 1

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

    P.S.

The other answers prove that we don't need "hate speech". Threatening someone's life is already a crime, so is defamation and fraud.
