  1. go to one of their events and ask them... but be warned it can get addicting and expensive.... some of them are really picky about historical accuracy with the uniforms and wool ain't cheap... or comfortable.

  2. Contact the local library or historical center.  In our town, both could get you started in the right direction.  Our town holds re-enactments every year and they seem to be a good thing, both for those involved and people who like to watch.  Good Luck

  3. web search (google, not libhoo)

  4. Step 1: Find their phone number

step 2: dial their phone number

Step 3: say "I'm interested in getting involved in the group, can you give me more information?"

  5. GO TO THE NEAREST VA AND PICK A FIGHT WITH THE OLDEST GUY THERE. :)

  6. http://www.civilwardays.org/

  7. Look up a group called the SCA (Society for Creative Acronyms).  They are the ones that do all of the different re-enactments like Medieval, Civil War and yes even Roman wars.  I've painted flags for some of the re-enacters in Atlanta Georgia but they are all over the country.

Good luck, I wish I were young enough and in physically fit condition to join in.  I love that stuff.

  8. If you can't find a contact number by googling, try asking at your local library.

  9. Dress up like a n**i and run around, shooting blank caps.
