I would remind him that what you are (rich, intelligent or higher

education) is all from the blessings of Allah upon you, so He can

judge you, whether you will behave with humility or arrogance, whether you will thank Allah or call your success as your own achievements.

We must not forget that Allah made all of us from the sperm that comes from a dirty smelly flued.  If a drop of this fluid touches our clothes or our body we must take shower and change our clothes so Allah can accept our prayers. The sperm and the fluid is so impure and we are product of that sperm. We should never be proud of ourselves but should always thank Allah for His blessings upon us that mkes us rich, intelligent or enables us to reach to higher status in society and should never down at any human. At our every level Allah is testing us.    

May Allah make us  humble and thankful to our creator under all

circumstances.

Lead by example.  Become a person who others would want to follow and emulate.  Maybe hanging around you would make the person less stubborn and arrogant.

Allow them, they'll probably never listen to ya. I can't stand arrogant people, but I don't mind stubborn people 'cos I'm really stubborn myself lol.

One way.. just pretend that the person is lesser stubborn and arrogant that was before.. and live with it :)
