How would universal healthcare work out for the elderly and truly disabled?

Would they not suffer the most, along with the working class Americans who would be forced to pay for their own and everybody elses?

This sounds like major pork here?

  1. FACT - the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet.

FACT - the USA has one of the highest death rates for kids aged under five in the western world.

If you think it is right that American four year olds die when they would have had a better chance of life in an industrialised country with universal healthcare, then yes, your system works.

So to answer your system, if you put in place, a system akin to one of those in western Europe, then it would work out great for the elderly and disabled.

  2. They would be tossed by the waste side and forgotten , they are incurable so there is no need to be treated but rest assured they will be paying into the system on their disabilities and social security incomes. It is sickening

  3. Euthanasia, just like Denmark.

  4. They'd probably benefit the most since they need medication and treatments.   Its the younger people that would suffer because they would have to be forced to pay for it out of their paychecks.  Not too many young kids get sick.

  5. We already have it, its called medicare.

  6. Aren't they being covered now? Ever hear of Medicare, Medicaid, etc.?

Reforms in this area are needed badly -- we all agree on that.

  7. they will be treated like dogs at the pound. have no doubt about it.
