How would we stop Genoside from taking place?

I think you're not getting answers because you posted this in Travel. Maybe put it in Social Studies - Geography or Politics instead?

Frankly, as much as I abhor violence, I think it will take force to stop the genocide. The UN needs to supply troops to take over the government, then occupy the country until the killing stops and things are under control.

They would need to make sure the people have sanitary water, decent roads, enough food and some health clinics set up before they leave. Also education in tolerance, so that different people can live together, or at least near each other, without war. Once people's basic needs are met, they want to protect them rather than going off to fight.

Of course, they would have to make sure the country had a stable, capable government before pulling out.
