  1. Here are two easy methods for calculating the area of an irregular 2D planar surface:

    1. you could scan your feet, trace the outline to scale, and then use software such as Autocad.

    2. Use square grid paper, trace the outline of your feet, and count the number of square within the outline. Be sure to include squares which are more than 50% covered by the outline, but not squares less than 50%.  The smaller the squares, the more accurate your result will be.


  2. Georock's method works, but it's maybe a bit tedious. If you have a really accurate scale, say to .1 gram, you can weight the traced outline. Then make a square of known area and weight that. This works for any curve, which can be handy when you can't  integrate for want of the equation.
