Heya everyone- my formal is coming up and i really like this look. Ideally i would like to do my own make up so just want to ask how you would achieve this look? http://www.prom.net/makeup/keiraknightley.html what products would you use? What steps would you take? I have pale skin very similar to Keira's but i have green eyes.

Thanks a bunch!

  1. maybe show the pic to a make up artist & get them to do it for you

  2. Step 1:

Get the lightest shade of silver and the medium darkest shade of silver

and apply the darkest shade first and then don't apply anymore to the cotton etc whatever your using to get ehe eyeshdow on your lids. Then apply the lightest combining both colors then with your finger gently smooth the colors evenly till you get a even great looking eyes.

    Step 2:

Use liquid eyeliner. Rest your elbow on a wall next to a mirror. Then do your liquid eyeliner. Try avoiding the Cleopatra look. Just on the lid lightly not thickly.

    Step 3:

Use black eyeliner and draw from the middle bottom part of your eyes. And use a cotton to lightly touch the eyeliner drawn.

    Step 4:

Apply mascara to both top bottom lashes continue to sweep lashes up and down till get maximum and a fuller look.

    Step 5:

    FLAUNT YOUR LOOK

  3. Step 1.

Gather your colors. You'll need three shades that go from light to dark, but they do not have to be shades of gray or black—you can achieve this effect with purple, blue, green or just about any other color you choose.

    Step2.

Apply the highlight color to the brow bone and upper part of your lid.

    Step 3.

Add a middle toned color from your lashes to your crease, and blend it in with your light tone where the two colors meet.

    Step 4.

Apply the darkest color along your lashes and use your finger to smear it up.

    Step5.

Apply the darker color along your lower lashes as well, to complete the shadow part of your look.

    Step6

Add a great mascara and eye liner to complete the sultry look. I love Loreal beauty tube mascara....DRAMATIC

  4. smokey eye, pale lip.

  5. try utube it tells you how to do it!!!!!

  6. Hey this look could take a while because if you think about it shes had people to do it for her but all it takes is practice so dont leave it till the day of your formal to try it out =]

1 - Shes wearing a lot of foundation so the best thing to do is mae sure your face is super clean and use a face scrub before you begin - you need your skin to be as clear and oil free as possible

2 - Put some foundation on your hand - you need a shade lighter than your natural skin colour for this to work - mix in with the foundation some moisturiser this will stop it looking so heavy and it will protect your skin from all the make-up

3 - Put the foundation on in layers - do one layer leave it do dry then do another  and repeat untill you feel comfortable (make sure to do in NATURAL light so not to look orange - this will stop your make up coming off over the night so you wont have to worry about re-applying

4 - K isnt wearing any blush but unless you have her bone structure you shoud go for a browny pink just on your cheek bones - make sure it doesnt have glitter though - this look is very matte

5 - Before you apply the darker colours apply a beige/cream colour to where you are going to put the darker shadow - this just means it wont look like blocks of colour because you can blend the dark onto something - put the dark shadow where you have put the light shadow and blend them together concentrating on the outer of the eye.

6 - Apply lots of mascara on both the top and the bottom if your lashes clump wait until you are sure they are dry and separate them with a needle - if you get mascara on your eyelid - dab it off with a damp cotton bud and cover with beige shadow

7 - put a small amount of foundation on your little finger and rub on lips like lip balm - once it is dry apply a clear to pale peach gloss again with your finger and your ready to go

Watch out for your foundation leaving a line because your using so much

heres the make up i would recomend:

http://www.westonsinternet.co.uk/images/...   this is the best face scrub ever and it smells nice too

http://www.superdrug.com/content/ebiz/su...    once on your hand it mixes suprisingly well with moisturiser and leaves a nice texture

http://www.beautybay.com/assets/images/p...   only if you dont have the bone structure haha but it would add a bit of colour so id use it anyway

http://a248.e.akamai.net/www.clinique.co...    ive used that before its good - its by clinique

Hope you enjoy your formal and good luck with the make up - just practice till the day

  7. Hi! this look is pretty easy to achieve. if you are pale, go easy on the smokey eyes as it can make someone pale look like they are dead. or a s***k. so just a warning there.

if you look at that picture, whoever did her makeup used the wrong foundation. her neck is noticably paler than her face. this is okay to do if its very close, but i noticed it straight away and im not a makeup artist.

what you can do, is use a foundation closer to your skin tone, then use a bronzer in places that would naturally get sunlight (cheekbones, nose, forehead) this will get you glowing and still natural and will look good with the rest of the look. use whatever foundation is suitable for your skins condition. if you dont have any blemishes only use a sheer light weight foundation to even out your skin tones. less can be more when you are young.

the eyes, use an eyeliner pencil, not liquid, as you need to draw a line, and then smudge it in so the line isnt stark but smokey like keiras. It seems that they have used a dark brown eyeliner on her and not black, which is good for pale people as black can be way too much. follow her lead and use a dark brown. Youll also need some shimmering brown eyecream or eyeshadows. use two or three different shades to get the dramatic look. look at youtube vids to see how to apply evening eye makeup. The Body shop has some awesome simmer eye cubes that will make your eyes glisten and smoke just like keiras. and a good thick dark brown mascara. any brand your comfortable with. water resistant is good. Natio's mascara in brown is great!

for the cheeks, if your cheeks have a natural glow, you wont need much blush, try maybeline's creamy mousse blushes in a soft pink colour, apply just a small amount with your fingers and you will have just the right shimmer for your cheeks. or try the body shops blush in rose-gold. thats nice for pale girls.

lips is really easy to achieve. If your lips naturally have a pinky flush to them, all youll need to do is apply a very slight amount of your foundation to your lips (let your lips natural colour still be seen thru, but this will lighten them up) and then use a really shiny lipgloss with a very slight pink tint to it. Napolian's lip laquer is WOW factor crystal shine and they have a nice soft pink also, its expensive but it lasts ages and is the perfect evening glam lipgloss!

for your hair, blowdry straight and use large barrel curlers... youll have her hair in a max of 45 mins if you use a heat protecting spray, smoothing serum and some hairspray afterwards :-)
