ok, what does that mean? because im doing a book report and idk get the question "how would you alter the ending of the story", help!!!!!!

  1. Alter is change, or to modify.

    ex. to change; become different or modified

    So what it is basically asking you, is if you could change the story to make it better, or maybe different. So say, if a cat died at the end, you could alter the ending, to make the cat live instead. Just make sure you alter it in a way that it still follows the story line. Good luck !

    To alter, you can start with "what if" questions like example:

    the ending is: they (Snow White and Prince Charming) live happily ever after... but "what if" they didn't actually live happy ever after.. they got divorced!!! why? <insert your story here>

  3. It means, read the ending. What happened? Did the main character die? Was it a happy ending?  Now tell your teacher what you would change about the ending. Like, you would've introduced a long lost father who was rich, and they lived happily ever after.

  4. It means 'How would you make the story end to make it better?'
