  1. Depends on the job.  I am an accountant, so the answer I gave said I planned on still being in the area as that was where I was from, I hoped to have passed my CPA exam.   I wanted to be involved in community service and out meeting potential clients to bring to the firm.

Some of it was true, some of it wasn't, but it was the answer they wanted to hear for a specific job.  They don't care for the most part about married with kids and living in a new home.  Those goals conflict with you working any and all hours to get the job done.  Other professions, goals of settling down might be more appropriate.

  2. They are asking this to find out if you intend to stay with the company. So the obvious answer here is that you see yourself working in their

wonderful company, with five years more knowledge and experience and will have a good solid career going.

Employers want to hire people who will stick to things, and not use their company as a springboard to other jobs in other places.

  3. The first time I had an interview and actually 'was myself' I pointed to the manager interviewing me and said "I want your job".  It was a real ice-breaker and everyone in the room laughed... AND YES, I GOT THE JOB!

You can gauge the room to see if that is appropriate or not.

What you want to do is to show that you are looking to move ahead and will do so by working hard.  Employers love to see someone who has ambition and drive.

    Good luck!
