My skills are rudimentary at best, but I hope to get better eventually. ^ ^ I like how the dress looks though the proportions seem off....

Well, for one, it is out of proportion, and lacks enough colours.[ Of which you already mentioned, but eh..].

Why don't you get a deviantart account?

That way people can look at it, and you can probably get some more advice and stuff.

Her hair reminds me of Rikku from Final Fantasy X, don't worry about the proportions, it doesn't matter in anime/manga. Keep up the good work!
