How would you attach a copper tub to a stainless steel lid without welding or brazing and not be toxic?

  1. Welding or brazing stainless steel is difficult as you probably already know.  Soldering is used in stills but can be toxic.  Since you don't need to tolerate any pressure or temperature above 212F I'd suggest silicone as in silicone caulking.  Good luck and don't forget moonshine is toxic!
