  1. The general format for sci notation is a.bc X 10y

    Note that the number of decimal places is determined by signifigant fingures.

    14.3 x 10^2 m  =

    1.43 x 10^3 m


  2. 14.3 * 10(2)m {this is how we type it on the computer}

    1.43 * 10(3)m {see what I did? I moved the decimal place to get one digit the left side.}

    This is how we write it on the computer in its proper and normal form.

    Some calculators and minicomputers will use 'E'. So it would look like this 1.43E3m

  3. it's already in scientific notation, if u wanted to take it out it would be something like (1430) im guessing theirs no more zeros becuse variable (M) is already and understood 1
