How would you cope with living apart from your spouse?

If both of you were very much in love and completely faithful but strict visa rules and financial difficulty forced both of you to live in your home countries until finances could be stabilised and visa conditions could be met.

Work hard to make it happen.  Military families have to live separtated all the time for several months or 2 years at a time.

My sister and her husband are dealing with this. He is English and she is American but they are having trouble with her VISA. They talk a lot on the phone and via computer, and she just stays busy working and saving money until she can hopefully be with him soon.

i love my hubby so much i could never live without him.. hes my world, my backbone, my bestfriend, my soulmate, my everything everyday! IF we had to live apart.. im not sure i could cope..depression, sadness.. lack of interest in anything..

In this case you need patience, and a lot of it!  It is very difficult, specially when we talk about law and finances, but you both need to focus and work together to pull through.  

I had to do it for a few days and I tell you, I could not leave the phone speaking to him and wanting to have him close to me.  

Just hang on in there!

that's a tough one, i couldn't even bare to imagine that. i guess you would do everything you could to get the money together to correct the situation, but there would be breaking points where you would feel enough was enough and you would start to feel the hope was no enough to hang on to

I know how that is. I leave my wife for work every day and I cheat.  It's the separation that makes me do it.
