It's for a school project, so I need lots of info from strangers!

Behaviour?

Do you think all teens drink, take drugs, and have s*x?

What were you like as a teen.. etc..

Most informative gets 10 points!

Thanks!

  1. not ALL teens drink, take drugs, nor have s*x. for the most part, once they get into high school they have a lot more freedom and personal opinions that are contrary to how they were raised. as a result, a lot of teens do drink, smoke, do drugs, and have s*x.

when i was in high school i drank a bit (but not a crazy amount) starting from when i was 15 years old. i also smoked cigarettes, and did smoke weed. i only smoked weed for a few months regularly, but decided to quit because i had a bad experience with it. (you never know what you're getting now when you buy weed).

as far as s*x goes, yes. a lot of teens do have s*x. however, as far as i could tell, the majority of people i knew back then didn't have s*x until their 2nd or 3rd year of high school... so when they were about 16 or 17.

high school was pretty stressful for me, but it wasn't stressful as a result of the usual stuff you hear (peer pressure, namely). i decided pretty early on (about 15) that the opinions of classmates and other people at school weren't really as relevant as they seemed up until then, so i didn't pay much attention to rough opinions of me because i didn't care much about what they had to say. peer pressure became irrelevant.

it was more stressful because of the schoolwork, homework, tests, etc... especially senior year. i did see the weekend as somewhat of a "release time" to drink, but never drank to the point of passing out.

i could go on and on, but here's pretty much what i'm getting at. there is no "typical teenager." all these types of experiences are really subjective and you'll get all kinds of different results when asking. teenagers vary in personality as much as adults do. it's like asking "how would you define a typical person?"

i guess if i had to generalise, i would say they have more freedom than they used to when they were younger. so you're more likely to see a drunk 16 year old than a drunk 11 year old :P

  3. well i am ateenager.

and i smoke ciggarettes and weed and drink and have s*x. but my best freind is a striaght A student and she is a cheer leader she plans on keeping her virginity till marriage and she hasnt smoked drank or taken drugs. so i am thinking this is going to be a hard project cause all teens are different. but i can say i know more with bad habbits than good. and im 15 btw.

also i would say teens in a nutshell

are people ages 13-17 who want freedom and desire to make there own choices who also have more stress than most adults even the adults dont htink so and are very misunderstood creatures.
