How would you define "though" ?

Pedro, the Brazilian foreign exchange student was talking to me and I said something like "...it was a good idea though!" He asked me what though was. How would I explain that?

Say "Embora" or "Entretanto" and he will understand it because it means "Though" in Portuguese!
