  1. How is California different from Nebraska? Oh! Right off the bat? Less corn. MUCH less corn. You can learn plenty about California here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California

  2. The geography of California is rich and diverse. There are alpine mountains, foggy coastlines, hot deserts, and a fertile central valley. The U.S. state of California is home to the world's tallest (coast redwood), most massive (Giant Sequoia), and oldest (bristlecone pine) trees. It is also home to both the highest (Mt. Whitney) and lowest (Death Valley) points in the 48 contiguous states.

The state is generally divided into Northern and Southern California, although the boundary between the two is not well defined. San Francisco is decidedly a Northern California city and Los Angeles likewise a Southern California one, but areas in between do not often share their confidence in geographic identity. The US Geological Survey defines the geographic center of the state at a point near North Fork, California.

Earth scientists typically divide the state into eleven distinct geomorphic provinces with clearly defined boundaries. They are, from north to south, the Klamath Mountains, the Cascade Range, the Modoc Plateau, the Basin and Range, the Coast Ranges, the Central Valley, the Sierra Nevada, the Transverse Ranges, the Mojave Desert, the Peninsular Ranges, and the Colorado Desert. For purposes of explanation, it is also helpful to recognize the Los Angeles Basin, the Channel Islands, and the Pacific Ocean as distinct regions.

  3. I'm from California and it is definitely different from Nebraska.  It is unique because there are ski resorts which get more snow than anywhere else in the US during some seasons while still having the coast 100 miles to the west.  It is different depending on where you live.  LA is congested while the Central Valley is mostly farmland.  The people are also as varied as can be; there is a growing Hispanic population.  You should definitely make a trip to see what it's like.

  4. both places suck equally; this is a loose-loose situation.

  5. Depends on what part of California are you picturing. Theres metropolis cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles full of culture, the beach cities, the woods, or the deserts. It usually depends on who you are and what you're looking to reside under. I sometimes question what the middle states are like since television never gives the full picture of people's culture and communities.

  6. I live in So Cal

You can hang at the beach in no time

    Best malls baby

Recently- Hot until 3 in da afternoon n then cold-ish at night

Everyone drives when they become a junior in highschool

  7. Hey, i live in California! i live around San Fransisco. I would say California is a beautiful place and it's pretty cold around san fransisco. there's a lot of beaches and cool tourist places too!

  8. California is a pretty big state, and personally, I think San Francisco is overrated. There's too much crime in Oakland. But I really like the Bay Area. People there vary. They do have cute accents depending where you go.

  9. There's a lot more diversity in California (from a natural, cultural and demographic sense).  You'll find a lot of different landscapes from beaches to coastal areas to mountains for skiing and snowboarding to deserts.  There's also a great deal of variance in the Californian experience.  There are the major metropolitan cities like L.A. and S.F. that everyone thinks of but there are hundreds of small towns with less than 5,000 people.  Also, California  is probably one of the most demographically diverse states in the Union.

  10. smart people. smoking nature

  11. kick. ***.
