How would you describe color to a blind person?

  1. I don't think it can be done.


  2. I would correspond it with the sense of touch. I would explain how some colors are soft, others are harsh and grate on you,  some are hot (as in so bright they seem to burn your eyes when you look at them...) and some are cold. Probably the best way they would understand, I guess.  

  3. I would have to say... that the colors is what illustrates the life

  4. Using textures that best represent a particular color. Hot things represent red Ice could represent something blue, etc...

You could tell them color is kind of like music, it has different tones and hues and each color evokes a different feeling in you, like a song makes you feel a certain way, so does a color like red might make you feel s**y, and black makes you feel mysterious, yellow makes you feel cheerful, etc.  

  6. I wouldn't even try, to be honest with you. But since you asked, your best bet is to ask them if they dream and if they do, can they tell the difference between black and white and colored pictures..... Wait, that would really work either. Sorry.
