How would you design a japanese/forest themed bedroom?

My mom is Japanese so she has lots of Japanese decorations around the house; she hangs this big piece of cloth called an 'obi' on the wall, I'm not sure where you'd be able to purchase one though. But maybe you can buy some like bamboo at a craftstore & place it in a big vase type thing in the corner? Or hang those calligraphy papers on your wall & look for oriental bedding

I definatly would use a lot of cherry blossoms , you can buy silk ones at a craft store. If this is for a girls room I would play up the whole cherry blossom Idea by making the bedding light pink with chocolate brown accents and do sheer soft curtains in lt.pink or a very soft green. Dark Choc. colored woods, maybe paint some blossoms on the cieling, and use those big white paper ball lamps hung from the ceiling, in various sizes to make a "chandilier" over the bed.
