How would you diagnose my eye condition...?

So I was born this was and had to wear and eye patch sometime since I was like 5...

First off...

I have every bad vision in my right eye up to the point I can't see anything no matter how close or far it it...

im no completely blind but EXTREMELY BLURRY...

But i can't see through my Right eye wthout closing my left eye...I also notice my right eye wanders sometime and can appear cross-eyed...

My left eye vision is also bad but not nearly as bad as the vision in my right eye...I wear glasses but it does absolutely nothing for my right eye...

Your right eye has amblyopia, or a lazy eye. This means that your brain is ignoring the vision from that eye.This probably started from your eye being crossed (also called strabismus), which made your brain confused, so it shut your right eye off to get normal vision again. Your eye probably wanders the most when you're tired, and the wandering signifies that your eye isn't being acknowledged by your brain. The vision loss by amblyopia can't be treated by glasses, and won't be corrected by surgery. You probably also have very little depth perception (meaning that you can't judge distances well), and that is because you don't get two images from your eyes. The only real option is vision therapy, but that involves a lot of commitment and time. You could also keep wearing a patch over the good eye, but that makes it really hard to see and generally just isn't fun! I have amblyopia as well, and have the same symptoms as you! I am beginning to think that you might also have astigmatism in your right eye! The same happened to me in my lazy eye, and the astigmatism wasn't discovered for 15 years! Doctors just often assume that the bad vision is just from the amblyopia, making it very easy not to notice the astigmatism. Next time you get your eyes checked, bring up astigmatism. If you end up having astigmatism, it could have also contributed to your lazy eye.
