  1. skeleton drawings and having a photographic memory that can see things moving at high speed or not and a quick hand that can work without u looking at it so ur not goin back and forth from drawing and object

  2. The key is to start out as broad and basic as you can, and then proceed to go into more and more detail, thus giving you different amounts of detail based on how many seconds or minutes the gesture is.

Observe the person for about 30 seconds and note which positions they always tend to go back to. Start by doing a basic "stick figure" of the person, make sure to get the proportions and angles of the body right, because this can make a huge difference later. Then work on the figure you just drew by filling in basic shadows that hit the person. Its easier to divide the light parts from dark parts when you squint your eyes because the image your brain recieves is simplified. Try to outline the body shape as little as you can, because a good drawing, unless its contour and you do it on purpose, should always be defined by shadow instead of line. Our eyes don't see lines, they see light.. There is no thick black line surrounding any three dimensional figure that I know of.

Once the body looks legit, fill in some of the backround to put the body in a space. Go back to the person and fill in more details such as muscle defenition, clothing, hair.. Finally, if you still  have time left, look more closely at the face and fill in the apropriate shadows. The face should always be last, but people tend to focus more on face because its what we look at and remember from our day to day interactions more than anything.
