I would like to customize one of my pairs of jeans with a zebra print like this:

  1. Wow  It looks like a bleaching technique that uses something painted on to protect the darker areas from being effected by the bleach.

    It would have to be something that would go all the way through the fabric to prevent the died from being bleached from the back side so it would have to be insoluble in water yet easily removed was the bleach  is stage was complete.  

    Maybe a light wax that liquid at a fairly low temperature and thin enough to penetrate the fabric, solid at room temperature but can be washed out by hot or boiling water and soap.

    You could ask the science area if they are aware of a wax that would work and how to buy or make it.


  2. Looks like a discharge effect.  With needle and heavy thread, gather the jeans down the center front and center back grainlines, using long stitches.  Gather and arrange the folds.  

    Spray with bleach or other discharge solution.  Neutralize, remove the gathering threads, and wash.
