  1. (4/9)^-1/2= (9/4)^1/2

    (9/4)^1/2= (9^1/2)/(4^1/2)=3/2

  2. In general , x^-2=1/x^2. This is a Law of Exponents.

    Therefore, (4/9)^-1/2 = 1/ (4/9)^1/2

    =1 / 2/3

    =1/1 / 2/3

    =1/1 X 3/2

    =3/2
