How would you explain how baby's are made of to a toddler?

For me I would say that Gods angel gave you a gift. You just have to make sure that it grows properly before you can see and play with it.

While they are toddlers, I would make up some story about the stork or something Lol! Not the real truth till later

my 3 year old is sooo into that after a baby got brought itno daycare

we told him  mommy and daddy wanted a very special baby so we asked for one.

it grew in mommys tummy

we showed him pictures of me preggers with him

then we showed him pictures when he was born

we didnt add any words more or less to that.

Is the toddler asking questions or are you volunteering?  How old of a toddler exactly?  To me, they're not a toddler once they turn 3.  Before 3, our oldest 3 have just known that God gives us a baby.  My first 3 children were 23 months when their younger siblings were born.  All of them were oblivious to the fact that a baby was on the way until the baby was born.  And we told them God gave us a baby.

Sometime after 4, they learn from us that babies are made when mommies and daddies lay naked together.  But by 4, I don't consider them a toddler.

When a man and a woman love eachother very much they decide they want a baby to love and they wait a long time and a baby is sent to them in the mail.....lol you can improvise on it obviously but thats what I told my sister and she loved it....when my mom was having our little brother I stayed home to watch her and she asked if they were at the post office in the baby line then when they got home she looked all over for his stamp = ] it was adorable
