...your father told you he wasn't coming to your graduation because it isn't important enough to miss a day of hunting for?

I would feel miserable, but then again, it wouldn't be the first time.

I never met mine so I don't know.  I almost wasn't able to graduate because my lousy second step-father wouldn't pay my school book fees, for all four years.  What a loser.  

Tell him you will schedule your wedding during hunting season so he need not attend that either.  Then tell him your pregnant and need money for a wedding dress.  Tell him the wedding is on the day of your graduation.  Hey, at least the guy will be dressed nice for your graduation.

I'd tell him I'm skipping it to go hunting too. If he insists I go, then I insist he goes.

I probably wouldn't care. I would expect it anyways. At my brothers graduation, neither of his friends parents came.

If my father was still alive and told me that i would be positively crushed ..... that would be so incredibly sad that my father would choose killing animals over seeing his child graduate.... geez mate, i really hope u r just making this question up.

Hey, i'm so sorry mate that your father can't see any further than the end of his nose ..... he needs a bit of a wake up call don't you think??  Have you ever watched the movie "Click" with Adam Sandler in it??? Go buy it or rent it buddy ...... in the movie Adam Sandler's obsession with himself and his work causes him to miss the bulk of his childrens growing up years and scares the pants of him..........;0)

......Wow. That man sounds like a waste of space to me. What kind of father says that? That's c**p. I would exchange words with him, and not nice ones. I think you should definitely tell him how that makes you feel!! Maybe he'll wake up and smell his paternal obligations!

Oh I have a father like that.. believe me! I feel like he doesn't want me... :(

Whenever I call he asks me why I don't call him that often. It's not all of my responsibility to call him why doesn't he call me?!

One time he pissed me off so bad because we were about to hang and then he calls me and he was like well I was going to hang with another friend but I guess we can hang.. I mean I'm your daughter! We don't do a lot and you want to hang with someone that you have been living with and hanging out all the time!

It hurts really bad. Then he pretty much abandons me when he married his now ex wife and I almost committed suicide because he didn't care for me. When I wrote him the note that's when he started to "care"

Don't feel bad.  Sometimes my dad wont go to my birthday party because me and his wife have the same birthday.
