How would you feel if your 19 year old was dating and living with a 33 year old man?

How would you feel about this?

There is a girl that lives in my building who is doing this. She was having car trouble and her mom came over. I was sitting on the pouch when her mom came over and we started talking (I'm 20 almost 21) She started telling me how great her daughter is doing and how happy she is for her. They have only been together about 8 months and are living together going on 7 months.

Meanwhile, her boyfriend doesn't have car, (now she doesn't either since it broke down badly) They both work at fast food places making under $9 an hour. neither went to college of any kind.

But her mom had the nerve to tell me I should get a 2nd job. Since I said our next stop from living in this apartment is buying a house.

Together my boyfriend and I made about $40,000 last year That's not bad for at the time a 20 and 21 year old. And both got raises since then.

If 2 people are happy with having less, who am I to complain or judge them? Their mom should have kept her nose out of your business and the 19 year old should have checked her man and not you, but at the end of the day, they are where they decide to be. The whole clan sounds nutty to me, so just leave them be.

Me myself I would not care but in that situation it seems that that relationship is not going to last I mean if he is 30 some years old and only making a little bit of nothing I would be upset with my daughter because you always want your children to do better for them self. It also sounds like that girl is a jealous person and maybe you should have just told her how you felt and told I have no reason to what do I want with that old man I know he is not old but I am sure to you he is.  It also sounds that you and your man are doing well for 20 and 21 years old you go girl and keep on getting those raises and making that money.

REally, what's it to you?  So her mom is proud of her and loves her and turns a blind eye to the bad stuff.  

It's life, not middle school.
