How would you feel....?

Question

If you were not allowed to see your baby during an ultrasound? A girl that I know just had this experience. Her doctor forgot to schedule an ultrasound for her, so he went ahead and called the hospital for a squeeze in appointment. When she arrived, there were no other patients. The technician proceed to take the baby's measurements, but b/c the girl was a squeeze in, she was very rude with her and went as far as not letting her see her baby's image, did not let the father in the room, nor did she allow this girl to purchase an image of her baby! I am completely heartbroken for her as she was having difficulties TTC and after over 2 years of trying finally conceived via IVF.

omg! i remember the first time i saw my little boy i cried i was so happy! i would turn that person in and get rude with who ever i needed to get rude with! that woman would be on my list for a long time! i feel so bad for that girl!

I would DEMAND another ultrasound immediately and would complain to the hospital about the tech who did the ultrasound. I would also tell my doctor that it was highly unprofessional how he handled the situation and that he will not just "squeeze" me in in the future...

Oh my that is awful, sounds like that tech was having a really bad day and took it out a really nice person. I am so sorry for your friend that she had to go through that. I was a little disappointed in my Ultrasound Tech, when I went cause she asked us what s*x we were hoping for and we said a "boy" and she goes well its a girl, and was rather rude...I guess its cause we both are young. But I would talk to the doctor and maybe the hospital in which the ultrasound was done and let them know what happened and see if they will offer up another appointment WITH A DIFFERENT TECH.. its worth a try because I would be on the phone talking to someone...better take care of now instead of complaining about it for years to come.. Anyways I would be heartbroken, but again I would be on the phone trying to get a better experience...

how awful my tec was a bit rude when i went for mine but i still got to see my bub gee dont these tecs realize we wait 20 weeks to see our babys its something we really look forward to i hope your friend reports this rude cow she shouldnt be allowed to get away with being so rude

I would be VERY upset - I would direct a complaint to whomever is above her.  The ultrasound images are what everyone looks at and praises before your baby is born.
