  1. Is it 4B or 4b?  If it's 4B there's nothing you can do to figure it out.  If it's 4b, then it's:

    b² - 4b + 3 = 0

    (b - 3)(b -1) = 0

    So, b-3 = 0 and/ or b-1 = 0

    b = 3 and/ or b = 1

  2. b^2 +3=4b

    b^2-4b+3=0

    (b-1)(b-3)=0

    b-1=0

    b=1

    b-3=0

    b=3

    hope this helps

  3. b x b= b^2, so you get

    b^2+3=4b

    Subtract 4b from each side, and you get b^2-4b+3=0

    You can factor it out:

    (b-3)(b-1)=0

    Then you get b=3 and b=1.

    The answers are 3 and 1.

    Hope this helps!
