How would you fix scratches on your disk?

To avoid people compensating for someting stupid, we will just say it is a disk wether it be a game, music or movie that you really like and your game system, music player or movie player wont read it because of the scratches. How would you/ did you fix it?

At a local store(like, rite aid) you can most of the time find a solution to help get scratches of disks.
