    states from Dun Laoghaire - London/Edinburgh/Glasgow is 42 Euro maximum/$56 USD/£28 GBP (cheaper if you can travel off-peak), for example, Dun Laoghaire-Manchester is 33 Euro off-peak. The ship has the added advantage that check-in is easier and there are no restrictive luggage rules.

  3. With so many low cost airlines operating in the UK and Ireland, flying is probably the cheapest option. Going by ferry and road/rail is actually quite expensive. If you fly in the middle of the week (wednesday/thursday) you can probably get a flight for less than £30. All the 'main' cities are well connected to Dublin by air, eg. London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol.

  4. Depending on what airport you are going to in England and the time of year airfare ranges from 2.99 to 100.00 yes I am not kidding.
