  1. i would first upgrade to a H.O. Alternator. because its pointless adding a second battery in a car if the current alternator is not able to give a good charge for the sound system.

if this is not done, it will result in early alternator failure.

then, just buy some 1/0 gauge wire so they have the best flow... add one wire from the + on the front battery to the + on the back.

you can also add a wire from the - on the front to the - on the back (for best connection) but you can just put a wire on the back battery to the chassis.

also, remember to do the Big3 to have the best current flow in the vehicle.

on the safe side... it would be great adding a fuse to the big3 wire from the battery to the alternator incase something bad happens. but defenetly add a fuse to the + on the front battery to the + on the rear battery.

cus if something bad happens and theres no fuse with the correct amp rating... the vehicle can catch on fire.

  2. In parallel negative to negative positive to positive. You also need to mount a tray for the battery and an isolater.A much cheaper way to go would be to replace your battery with a much higher capacity one.The reasons would be cheaper, much easier to do,and much less weight to haul around which would use up more gas.
