My agent came to my home 3days ago which was friday and took pictures and also put for sale signs out in the yard. However, today is Sunday and the house is still on up on the Market. It's still not showing up and it still has no MLS number.

It's pissing me off. But then, I'm like maybe I'm over reacting. How long should it take. He told me he would have it up the next day which would have been Saturday. And it's still not up.

What should I do and am I over reacting?

  1. Give your agent about a week. If you don't see any results after that maybe you should consider doing business with another agent.

  2. get rid of him

  3. You're over reacting call him tomorrow (Monday) morning and make sure everything gets addressed as you wish. If its not done by the end of the day then raise h**l.

  4. They probably do a batch upload of all the properties.

I would check on Monday and if nothing by the end of the day, contact your realtor and ask what is up.

I am confused about why no MLS number yet though? I thought those came up when property was listed.

  5. It takes a week to 10 days to get published on MLS.

And the average length of time to sell, if properly priced is 60 to 90 days.

  6. I would be pretty annoyed.  He didn't get it up for the weekend, prime time for buyers who work all week.  I might tell him to forget it and find another agent.  If he were a hustler he would have wanted to have it listed on Saturday morning.

  7. MLS is real time, there is no upload, etc.

However, it does take a lot of time to enter the information.  I would call him and ask when it was put into the system.

However, it may already be in the MLS system.  You may be looking at sites like realtor.com or something like this.  Then yes, there is a lag time.
