How would you handle a dog with puppies?

There is a dog that has had 8 puppies across the street from my home. She had them under someones shed. The people know and they feed and give her water. Now she just roams around the area and still takes care of them. Now I groom and take care of her more then anyone else. I wish I was able to take her. But they people that have the shed said that they want to have her there but dont want to tie her up or pin the pups. Let me note that the main road is 30 feet from the shed. A busy road at that.

Now would you think that it would be better if I called the shelter to come get them?

The pups and mom need a good home and not be running around the streets.

She is a great dog and it looks that someone dropped her off once knowing she was having pups.

What would you do?

  1. CALL ANIMAL CONTROL GET THOES DOGS AWAY FROM ANY ROAD NO MATTER WHAT PEOPLE SAY

  2. well you should probably first tell the people that its dangerous to have them roaming the roads and if they don't agree then call a shelter or someone and see what they suggest you could also ask the neighboors if they want to sell the pups.

  3. Yes, please call the aspca.  They will get her and rehome her and the pups.

Please do the right thing for these animals!

  4. I think it would be best to call animal control and have them picked up, treated by a vet, and adopted out to families.  Having an unconfined dog and 8 young puppies near a busy street is just asking for one or more to be hit by a car.
