There was a girl that worked for Al's Diner and she was new and 15 years of age. If you were her manager how would you have handled the situation when a customer has complained about there order being wrong?

And for the whole story check out http://www.alsdiner.org

Thanks and I hope to hear from you and your opinion on the matter.

  1. it's pretty cruel to dump on her !

After all she's New ! hello and 15 to boot !

maybe the customer is having a bad day and is p*ssy

But as  the manager I'd give him his order at half price or free and talk to the girl see where she's having trouble and help her ! Good Grief she's only human after all .

Just read the story.......That poor girl !

They ought to close the place down ! by the time they get done there won't be anybody to run the place anyway! I'm so glad I don't work there well i should say They should be glad I don't work there !

  2. give her a break and put yourself in her position

  3. Remember when you were 15 and trying your best.

If you want great service hire an experienced wait staff, you get what you pay for.

  4. A manager should apologize to the customer. He should not make exscuses, and if the mistake is large, buy the customer his appetizer, meal, drinks or dessert. He could also give a coupon for something free next time. This way the customer feels they are being compensated for the server error and the customer has to come back. The manager should not yell at the server. He should explain what she did wrong and how to keep from having this happen in the future. He should also make sure the server has no other problems or concerns to keep future mistakes from happening. The manager should keep an extra close watch on the server for the day, and if he feels she needs more training, then tell her she has to train for one more day.

  5. i would bend her over and paddle her with a waffle

  6. EVERYONE makes mistakes. it's one order. they can always remake it. at every restraurant even older, experienced servers can mess up the orders. just politely tell her and then ask if she could remake your food and suggest that you get it free or marked down.

  7. i would go and explain to the customer that she is only new and hasn't had a lot of experiance behind her and then i would talk to her and ask her to be a little bit more careful next time.

  8. Stay calm about after all she is new she is going to mess up a few times she is still a kid

  9. i would slap that hoe...get it right trick

  10. Mistakes happen, and she's 15. I would just tell her to be more careful next time.
