How would you know if a turtle is a male or a female?

  4. It's kind of hard to compare them if you have only one.

    The male has a longer tail with the cloaca vent closer to the tip of the tail.  The plastron (bottom shell) will be slighted curved in (concave), and his front claws will be long.

    The female has a shorter tail with the cloaca vent close to the plastron.  The plastron will be flat or slightly rounded (convex).  Her front claws will be shorter.

  6. the mails tail is bigger and the a longer tail and there claws are twice as long my males front claws are a inch long  

  7. Male turtles have long nails, are smaller than females,  have a curve on the bottom of their shell, and have a longer tail.  Please look at the website in my source for specific images of males and females, and good luck!

  8. if the bottom of there shell is convex it a female if concave its a male hope this helps by!!!!!!!
