  1. You wouldn't get your period.

  2. If you're worried about being pregnant while on BC, cough up some money for a pregnancy test. Taking BC while pregnant is bad for the fetus.

  3. I didn't know until I was almost 13 weeks along, and I was taking my BC pills the whole time. Because of my specific prescription, I only had a period every 3 months, so there was no way for me to notice the first two 'missed' periods. Also, I didn't have any morning sickness or many of the other classic symptoms.

I didn't go to the doctor until it was two weeks past the time I should have had a period. I had a health problem in the past (endometriosis) that is a known cause of infertility; when I went to the doctor, I still didn't even suspect I was pregnant. I thought that the endometriosis might be returning. I got a very happy surprise!

My case is a little unusual, though. I think that most other women who get pregnant on the pill would suspect something is up when they experience the first missed period.
