  1. Dissolve 0.7 mole of NaCl into 1 L of water.


  2. NaCl has a molar mass of 58.44277 g/mol, so if you need .7 mol NaCl / 1 L soln, you'll need 40.9 g NaCl.  Add to that NaCl water until the total volume of the solution is 1L.  This does not mean add 1 L of water, but to add water until the volume of the NaCl/H2O soln. is 1L.
