  1. I suppose the police could use the old fashioned rack. That usually works but first they need some evidence of proof against the victims, something they or the accusers  here just do not have.Shame really. Even after 9 months there is not a shred of evidence to say the McCanns were involved.

  2. They have already confessed to what I feel they are guilty of and that's neglect.

Until there is any evidence rather than hearsay then I may change my opinion but that is it as it stands.

  3. You are going to look very foolish if it comes out they were not involved at all.

  4. Threaten them with bankrupcy...

  5. take away cuddle cat from Kate McCann.  That cat knows everything.  If Kate had looked after Maddie half as much as she has cuddle cat - Maddie would still be alive and well.

  6. I'd hand them over to Swift Malone....

  7. Confess what exactly ?

  8. with willie from the simpsons

  9. I'm across the pond and I still believe them.  Plus I think the Portuguese police, in this particular instance, acted like bumbling fools.

Unfortunately, I do believe little Maddy is gone for good...she'd be too much of a liability to allow to live after all this.

  10. That is a bit out of order, but I will say this, if they and the other 'witnesses' were to return to Portugal of their own volition, and answer all of the questions that the police want answering, and submit to a polygraph test, all of this could be laid to rest.

If it was my baby (and at 3 years old is still a baby) I would never have left in such a hurry, but stayed there to help in any way deemed necessary.

  11. Hit them where it hurts - and what they seem to put more importane on - the pocket.

  12. It`s the priest they talked to and who now doesn`t want anything to do with them anymore that should be talking to the police, he knows something and if it means finding maddie dead or alive he should talk

  13. they are the ones that have the guilt, that for now will be enough, if they are the killers,

  14. I do not trust these two as far as I can throw them. Normally in these cases I really feel for the parents, but there's something about them I just do not trust!

They should have their other children taken from them to start with as they are clearly unfit.

with regards to the amount of money that has been given to them-it has been widely reported that they were having money issues at that time, and even used to madeleine fund to pay their mortgage!its disgusting.

torture, if all means are allowed!

  15. To what? Which rumour would you like them to "confess" to?

Sorry I don't understand the question.

  16. Same way as the USA gets people to confess with no evidence- or by public lynching- seems that you're already doing that though-

So only people with unfounded beliefs are allowed to answer? If only we could all be so certain of things without a scrap of evidence- its ok to have an opinion but you have to acknowledge that it is only an opinion and not fact-

  17. If you want answers just from people who agree with you, then there is absolutely no point in asking a question. If I was to disagree with you and you didn't like the reply, then I suggest asking questions is not for you. We all learn by asking questions. We can still all learn from a different point of view.

The problems about giving 24 hours to get a confession, if you were wrongly arrested for something, would you like to be on the other end of the interogating

  18. We all know they are guilty, so waterboarding would be a good way.

  19. what a cruel asumption!.........conjecture and rumour are never a good thing........let's hope something like this never happens in your family!

  20. I could think of a million and one examples, but the truth will come out in the end.

  21. to confess to what though ?

  22. They are missing that child. That will stay with them the rest of their lives, whether they had anything to do with the abduction or not. That's enough of a punishment for any family, in my opinion.

  23. It wouldn' be that hard.

Without even resorting to the torture that I personally witnessed the RUC using in N. Ireland.

You guys should behave better in front of invited guests, let me tell you...

First of all separate them ( it worked like a charm, the last time...Oh yes it did!)

Then explain to Kate that she is going to do time for child neglect. Regardless of what else she has to offer or say.

Then explain to her what the other inmates do to women inprisoned for that crime.

We don't have the death penalty in Portugal for these crimes because we don't need it. We have the prison system. Less money, less hassle.

I would personally get a couple of inmates who are doing time for similar charges to talk to her about it. It generally works better and they welcome the 2 hours away from jail.

Then I would explain to her that she is lucky to be loved as much as she is by Gerry.

He has been keeping her in strict tabs. He has been protecting her and doing an h**l of a job of it.

I'm sure she will realise that the twins are better and safer with him. And that he went beyond the call of duty already.

At the same time i would literally grill Gerry about a certain date in August. And a blue tennis bag. And a Houdini act he pulled on everybody...

And after a few hours I would just tell him that Kate had already left for England after pointing the finger at him.

They'd crack at the same time.

To all the users that say that no shred of evidence exists... either you're blind or...

Edit@Farfalla: I loved that bit about the vegan and the roast! ;o)

Some of these people are accusing Shannon's stepdad without a shred of evidence. Still the McCanns are sacred cows. Bah...!

Edit@Bud: That would be lovely... but the secret of confession is protected by portuguese law. The only time a priest can break that vow of silence is if he knows of a crime that it's going to be commited. Not about one which already happened.

    Shame, huh?
