How would you microscopically distinguish a eudicot stem from a monocot stem?

  1. Monocot stem has atactostelic cylinder while dicot has eustelic cylinder. Monocot stem has no define pith and cortex that it typical to a dicot stem.


  2. 1) Monocot stem = Vascular bundles are SCATTERED in the ground tissue with NO pith .

    Vascular bundles are CLOSED  as there is NO cambium .
