  1. The deluxe boneless box from £9.99 available from your local KFC store.

    (Subject to availability)

  2. validate what the child is saying - that you hear it

effeminate you understand what they are saying

and do the decision that you were already going to do because you are the one in charge.

example: i am going out side right now - yes you will be going outside - I know that this is what you want to do - that was a good idea but we are eating lunch right now and i need to wash up for lunch -

no one wants to be wrong - no power stand either

  3. Depends because sometimes negotiation isnt an option-either for discipline, safety or because they are too young to understand it.

however, for very young-under 1's it can be a 'swap' if you need to take a toy/item away give them another to hold onto. Similar with 2-4year olds if you need to take something off them offer an alternative for them.

The Un Convention On Right the Child say that children's opinions should be taken into consideration and that is for ALL children 0-18years old...so asking child (if possible) what they think you should do...eg: you need to go out shopping but your child busy playing..."We have to go out shopping for food, what cna we do so that I'm not spoiling your game?" they may say "can i leave my toys out till we get home" or "can I take toy with me" and then you are negotiating and considering their rights-but also getting your way ;) I think this would work from 3+ depending on the developmental stage of the child.

Older children are a bit different because you can talk more to them and explain the why's to them so they may well understand without needing so much planning!!!

Also adults need to be trustworthy-if you say you are going to do something then DO IT otherwise the next time u need to negotiate they wont believe you and may act up more.
